Oilskin is 100% cotton/canvas treated with a mixture of linseed oil/paraffin wax. This gives the fabric a weatherproof breathable character and prolongs the life of the product.
The proper care and storage will prolong the life of your oilskin product. Your product should be stored in a ventilated area and not in a damp cupboard or plastic storage box/bag.
To clean your product, gently brush off dirt with a brush or sponge with cold water and then dry in the shade. Do not place in a washing machine or clothes dryer. There are products on the market to treat and reproof your oilskin product.
