Regal Leather Belt Brown

$90.00

Leather belt handcrafted by Rivet & Del using 3mm vegetable tanned “pull up” buffalo butt in brown colour.

These belts are approximately 40mm wide and come in various lengths (sizes). Larger or smaller sizes can be made on request.

The belts are plain in design, however feature roller buckles, solid keepers and rivets in antique brass finish. The minimalist natural look is what makes these belts appealing. The belts are unisex and can be dressed up or down for any occasion.

We prefer a roller buckle as it prolongs the life of the belt. Friction on the leather is reduced as the buckle "rolls" over the leather, unlike a non-roller buckle that can bind and make tightening your belt much more difficult.

The brown and tan colours in this leather are very similar and sometimes difficult to distinguish between the two, unless you fold the leather. The tan has a subtle soft earthy red tinge.

Pull-up leather is treated with an additional layer of oil and wax which gives it a shabby look with an authentic ageing/distressed effect. It is extremely durable and develops a rich patina over time.

The main feature of pull up leather is the colour variation (lighter-hued lines and shading) when the leather is folded or stretched.

PRODUCT CARE:

Apply a quality leather conditioner from time to time.
Rub in the conditioner and then buff to a nice finish with a soft, dry cloth. Always store leather products in a dry environment.

Minor scratches can be repaired by rubbing the area with your thumb. Your body heat will help the waxes to shift and any scratches will diminish. Deeper scratches might not completely disappear, but will become part of the general appearance and enhance its character over time.

Oxidation can occur around metal hardware and rivets. We suggest to brush these areas with an old soft tooth brush.
